- (00:00) This audio appears to be original English voice acting, as Yami sounds more like Dan Green's version, as opposed to LittleKuriboh's.
- (00:02) The begin sequence has references in the following order:
- The Black and Decker/elephant commercial is one of many retro commercials featured in the "Love For Sale" music video by the Talking Heads .
- The "in America!" line is comedian Steve Coogan , as his character, Alan Partridge in humorous video about car safety .
- The "bought the company" footage is also featured from the "Love For Sale" video. The line itself was a catchphrase of entrepreneur Victor Kiam , who purchased Remington Products after being a customer and went on to do advertisements for their electric razors.
- This cartoon is the Adult Swim original cartoon, Space Ghost:Coast to Coast .
- (00:21) The song playing in the background (which is also the de facto theme of the Abridged Series) is "Kawaita Sakebi" by Field of View , the opening theme of the original Toei Yu-Gi-Oh! series.
- (00:42) A general parody of commercials advertising legal services for someone who has been subjected to either injury or medical malpractice. The song playing in the background is Fake Wings a theme from the anime series .hack//Sign.
- (01:37) "You wanna play rough? Okay. Say hello to my little friend " is a reference to "Scarface" .
- (03:07) As Bandit Keith is being dragged away, you can hear him singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" over the announcer, which is the American National Anthem
- (03:28) In the anime Excel Saga , Ilpalazzo often pulls a rope from his throne that opens a hole beneath Excel's feet that leads into a pit.
- (03:43) "Very special episode" was a phrase used to describe episodes of a series which became uncharacteristically dramatic. "Blossom" is often credited with the invention of this phrase as quite a few of their episodes were advertised as "very special episodes". The music used during the very special episode of Zorc and Pals is "Dearly Beloved" from Kingdom Hearts II.
- (05:14) This is a parody of a Mastercard advertisement. "There's some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's Mastercard."
