Episode Synopsis[]
This is the first episode of both Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series and the original Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series. It introduces pretty much all of the main characters. In it, Kaiba kidnaps Yugi's Grandpa in order to get his hands on the fourth Blue Eyes White Dragon card. Kaiba later destroys it, and duels Yugi, who transforms into Yami for the first time. Yami wins the duel by summoning Exodia, and the episode closes with a shot of Pegasus being informed of Kaiba's defeat.
