The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya by PhilRyanBob is yet another interpretation of the Haruhi Suzumiya anime. In this take, Kyon is a confused young man trying to figure what Haruhi is trying to do with this "Super Obnoxious Sexdwarf Brigade" of her's which main idea at first was to make a Lumberjack Club. Also unique to this Haruhi Abridged, there is numerous amounts of references to the 1980's having an episode that references The Breakfast Club, ST. Elmo's Fire, and Caddy Shack. The characters are either extremely exaggerated or complete opposites of themselves, making Yuki a no-nonsense girl, Mikuru less beat-around-the-bush-ish, Kyon a little less intelligent and a singer, and Itsuki just agitated with the whole lot of them. However, Haruhi keeps her same eccentric personality, she just seems to be a little more vulgar.
