We need to improve the UI of this Wikia, so it looks more professional and attractive. Also, the homepage needs a lot of work. - Mirceacalarasu 17:11, January 30, 2011 (UTC)

You're right. If anyone wants to work on it, please let me know. I do not know if I will be able to. Endar Ren 15:46, January 31, 2011 (UTC)

I would try and help if possible, but again, it might take me ages to make it better. But I could try... - Mirceacalarasu 16:08, January 31, 2011 (UTC)

I didn't mean just you. That was what I tried to do when I started here, do it all myself. That ended up being a major headache. So tried to find others here who can help. I will do what I can, just message me what you need. Thank you. Endar Ren 16:16, January 31, 2011 (UTC)

I think the articles themselves need the most work on this Wiki. There are too many of them that look like they were written by pre-teens (most of whom likely made the series in question). You may also want to add another admin; the current ones don't seem to be active or do anything they're supposed to. CSD 00:33, February 1, 2011 (UTC)

I totally agree with CSD. I remember one day seeing one page which only had one sentence on it. It was a Pokemon: TAS, if I remember right. I think it got deleted now because I added a "speedy deletion" sign on it long ago. And yes, there are a lot of messy pages. For example, on our page we keep it all tidy and organized, just like the rest of the proper ones. - Mirceacalarasu 10:29, February 1, 2011 (UTC)

Alright, I'll look into finding some other admins. Endar Ren 00:22, February 3, 2011 (UTC)

Can we have a poll on the front page? Helix341 18:24, April 11, 2011 (UTC)Helix341

The one you put up badly misaligned the front page. I'm not sure how they work, but they're not going to work with how they're coded right now. CSD 02:28, April 12, 2011 (UTC)

Look at http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page they have several polls, if you look at the script version you can see how they work. Helix341 06:55, April 12, 2011 (UTC)Helix341

Featured Article[]

How do we nominate articles for featuring? Helix341 11:33, April 11, 2011 (UTC)Helix341

Well, I had a system up for it, but no one used it so I kind of forgot. I guess we could make a page tag to indicate that the page is nominated. Endar Ren 15:01, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

A lot of the entries in both abridged series and abridgers have no info or pointless info. Consider cleaning them out? Mattroks101 15:27, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

Any specific ones you have in mind? Much as I'd like to completely delete most of the articles here, I can't do that even if they're just 12-year old abridgers or their series, but I can certainly fix spelling, grammar and disinformation. CSD 17:27, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

I pretty much agree with CSD. What I would like to point out is that a wikia cannot work with just a few people doing changes to articles. If you see something wrong with an article, you are welcome to mention it in the page's talk or by tagging it. If it is something small like spelling, then you can fix it yourself. That is how a wikia works. Endar Ren 00:34, April 21, 2011 (UTC)

Uh, I don't know if you were talking to me but I didn't mean for him to do it all. I was asking if someone (it didn't have to be him) would delete some of the more useless articles. I'm currently compiling a list of articles which have nothing in them. Oh and one other thing, should Gundam 0083: Abridged be moved to abridged series database? It already has 3 episodes and yet it's still in the upcoming series.Mattroks101 14:35, April 21, 2011 (UTC)

If you come across a page like that, just put a {{delete}} tag at the top and we'll review it. And yeah, if it even has just one episode, it's not "upcoming" anymore. CSD 17:46, April 21, 2011 (UTC)

Ok thanks man Mattroks101 18:13, April 21, 2011 (UTC)

Another dumb question: What do I do if the series has 0 episodes and/or has no information other than it is cancelled. Like it was cancelled before it was realesed. Mattroks101 15:41, April 25, 2011 (UTC)

If that's the case, I'm honestly not even sure it counts as a series anymore. I guess just put the delete tag and we'll review it; it may or may not have some significance or reason to stay up (most likely not.) CSD 01:02, April 26, 2011 (UTC)

Its been too long, I see that Endar was the right man to leave this Wiki too...^_^ Brengarrett 00:24, May 27, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry for the delay. It has been a while. I wouldn't say I was the right man for this wiki, but I've tried to do my best. There are others who do a lot of work here. Endar Ren 16:12, June 2, 2011 (UTC)

Indeed, it seems no matter how much I fix theres always more. Mattroks101 17:21, June 2, 2011 (UTC)

I know this has been said before, but we really need a logo. Seriously it just looks bad without one. Mattroks101 19:38, June 13, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah. I'm the one who made the one we have now. I don't really have any artistic skills. We could have a contest with people submitting logos, but I don't know if anyone would really bother to enter. Anyone have any thoughts? Endar Ren 13:36, June 15, 2011 (UTC)

I'll ask some friends with artistic skills if maybe they could make one. Mattroks101 13:46, June 15, 2011 (UTC)

Naming Conventions[]

So I don't edit much here, but I view articles everyday. I must say that the naming conventions here are kinda sloppy. It's incredibly disorganized, and makes it very hard to search for and find articles.

I'd like to suggest naming convention, just to keep things organized. Possibly something like:

"show name/movie name" (Abridger/Group/Team, year of premiere)

  • Have the show/movie name listed as the exact name given by the creator(s)
  • Have the creator credit listed as the exact name listed by the creator(s) in the first episode (or, for a movie, the credits)
  • Have the year be the year either the first episode was released (not the redub/re-release/re-mix) or the year the movie was first released

If the year is not know, which can be the case with some older series and those who have had take-down issuses with copyright violations, perhaps a "????" can be used as a placeholder of sorts.

As for articles on abridgers, just list the person/group/team's screen name as they list it on YouTueb or their own site (but that seems not be an issue. So whatever.)

Additionally, when it comes series that have multiple (two or more) abridged parodies (i.e. Fullmetal Alchemist, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Pokemon), there should be a disambiguous page that links to them all with "disaambiguation" (see Pokemon Abridged (disambiguation). Just a thought. --Spencerz 19:08, June 24, 2011 (UTC)

More Templates[]

The Wiki could use more templates such as editor notes, John Smith, 24.26.117.98 19:57, February 14, 2012 (UTC)

I'll get on that sometime. - Mattroks101 (talk) 16:40, October 18, 2012 (UTC)

Protection[]

I could have sworn this page was already protected, but thanks for protecting Chaossy it as it seems it wasn't. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mattroks101 (talkcontribs)

It was protected.
