Noragami Abridged is created by Alifluro, with episode 1 being launched on July 11th, 2014. The series is the third abridged series created by Alifluro, the first being Bleach Abridged: Meet the Gotei 13, and the second being The Devil is a Part-Timer Abridged in conjunction with justkyledavid on a separate channel. The series is written and edited by Alifluro. As of episode 3, justkyledavid (voice of Kazuma in the series) also began working as a editor on the series. The series characters and plot points are generally over-exaggerated versions of the original, with a few differences.
Production[]
Alifluro was looking to start a new series of her own after starting on The Devil is a Part-Timer with justkyledavid, to work on her individual scripting and editing skills. She is a fan of both the manga and anime versions of Noragami and thought the series would be interesting to abridge.
There were no open auditions held for the series. Fairly early on in development, FrustratedRocka, Laikachi, and CrasherSurge were cast as the series' protagonists: Yato, Hiyori, and Yukine.
On April 26, 2014 Alifluro released a short promo for the series on her channel, by which point all characters for the first episode had been cast. The first episode was then released on July 11, 2014. Episode 2 was released on November 7, 2014, followed by episode 3 on March 9, 2015. Episode 4 was released on October 15, 2015. Episode 5 was released on April 11, 2016. Episode 6 was released on June 22, 2017. Episode 7 was released on December 3, 2017.
