My Hero Abridged is an abridged parody series produced by JoyRide Entertainment, based on the anime and manga My Hero Academia by Kohei Horikoshi. It is the third abridged series helmed by writer/director Ivan LeRoy and his most acclaimed. It is ongoing and currently in the middle of it's second season.
My Hero Abridged deviates heavily from the original source material with a new plot, darker tone, westernized settings and character aliases, with shifts in main character focus. For example, following the events of the first season, Bakugo becomes the main character in Season 2. Some characters, such as Kirishima and Todoroki, are referred to as "Rusty" and "Chilli".

The Pilot episode was released in the Spring of 2016 with all characters voiced by Ivan LeRoy. The current main cast was not fully utilized until Episode 4 with some additional recasting after. A remastered version of the first three episodes (with improved editing and full cast) began release in July 2017.
According to a Director's Commentary of Season 1, LeRoy admitted to producing the first two episodes without properly watching the original show, basing his characterizations on how the characters looked. All Might, for example, was given an antagonistic role in the abridged because his design looked "mean and creepy". It was also noted that the series was initially made in collaboration with Earl of Bassington, but the two parted ways after disagreeing about whether to give Midoriya cancer or autism, the latter a gag LeRoy adamantly objected to.
In podcasts and streams, LeRoy has mentioned that a total of 4 seasons have been planned, each consisting of roughly 5 episodes each.
