As of June 2024, the most subscribed abridged channel (as well as most viewed) is TeamFourStar, with over 4 million subscribers (and more than 2 billion views). They have held this title for several years.

Historical progression of most-subscribed channels

Since LittleKuriboh is widely regarded as the first known abridged channel, his channel held the title of the most subscribed abridged channel at one point. TeamFourStar has held the record of most subscribed abridge channel since at least 2018.

Qualifications

There is not unanimous agreement about what channels would count as an abridged channel. Some channels (such as Gigguk and Nux Taku) have some abridged content on their channels, but in large do not post abridged content anymore. On the other hand, some channels do post some non-abridged content—majority even perhaps—but are still clearly recognized as abridged channels (such as TeamFourStar and Something Witty Entertainment).

There are also some channels that created abridged material in the past, but have since been unlisted/privatized them or had them removed for copyright. Such channels (such as JelloApocalypse) are generally not considered abridged channels anymore.

Another set of unclear instances, are channels that belong to abridgers (such as KaiserNeko), but in large do not post abridged content.
