JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Abridged: Diamond is Unabridgable (often shortened to JJBATAS: DiU) is the title of Weeaboss' abridged series based on the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime. It also serves as the spiritual sequel to Antfish's Jojo's Bizarre Adventure TAS, which covers Part 3.

It covers the fourth part of the anime (Diamond is Unbreakable), and is currently ongoing after having premiered in June 2016.

Story

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure started in 1987, and is still published (8 Parts so far).

The recent adaptation in anime follows the story very faithfully. It has been confirmed by Weeaboss that this abridged series will serve as the "spiritual sequel" to Antfish's original OVA series based on Part 3. Returning characters, such as Jotaro and Joseph will retain their personalities from Antfish's series and will share a continuity from where Jojo's Bizarre Adventure TAS left off.

The fourth part, Diamond is Unbreakable, takes place in 1999. The Arrow, a mystical artifact capable of manifesting latent Stand abilities, travels throughout Morioh, Japan; as high-schooler Josuke Higashikata (illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar) and his friends seek out the culprits of a series of gruesome homicides.

Trivia

  • Weeaboss stated that if the other JoJo parts are adapted into anime as well, it's his goal to create a "JoJo Abridged Universe" with the end result being each respective Part abridged by a different abridger/team - all sharing a connected storyline. This would ultimately conclude in a collaboration event/movie.
  • For the #TIBA contest held by Team Four Star, a condensed version of Episode 1 was released as a pilot. In this, Weeaboss voiced every single character (including previously cast characters) to prevent disqualification.
    • The entry (titled Episode 0) actually made it into the Top 80 finalists for TFS's contest. In the end, it was voted as the final runner-up for the "F**k the Judges" award.
