FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood the Abridged Series, also known as TheFMABridged by The Brotherhood, is the first completed abridged series by many of the cast and crew of the group now known as Journeyman Abridged. Starring cosmovsgoku as Edward Elric and impolitebi as Alphonse Elric, the series was thought to have been lost to time.
On May 27th 2024, it was announced that cosmovsgoku and impolitebi had found the full series, and a Creator Commentary series will begin releasing in 2025 as they revisit their original series.

History[]
Inspired by LittleKuriboh, and following the unexpected cancellation of SonicX the Abridged Series, TheFMABridged was developed as the next big project by cosmovsgoku.
Originally, the team wanted to produce an abridged series based on Digimon Adventure, however shortly before production was due to start, Abridgimon was released. Not wishing to clash with the far bigger creators, the creatives shifted focus to FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
In December 2015, the original channel was obliterated by YouTube's copyright system, and no amount of begging or copyright counter-notifications were able to restore the channel. Shortly after this, the series became lost media, and for years it was thought completely lost to time, until cosmovsgoku randomly found the series one day in early 2024.
Outside of the upcoming Creator Commentary series, Journeyman Abridged have announced that there is no intention to re-release the series on YouTube.
Production[]
FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood the Abridged Series began pre-production in late-2010, and began releasing in April 2011. The final episode was released in November 2015.
TheFMABridged was the only completed episodic abridged series by this team. After this, they moved to the full arc model, and have never looked back.
The series was written primarily by cosmovsgoku, with notes and adjustments contributed by impolitebi. D'koda and Bane also made contributions to various scripts, with Bane co-writing most of Season Two and Season Three, and one episode had it's entire first draft delivered by Bane. Scripts were written to the anime.

Trivia[]
- Whilst many cast members for TheFMABridged would continue on with Journeyman Abridged, most of these cast members would change their screen names, including impolitebi, MPC, and RisingAvenged.
- Whilst the whole series was recovered, the produced OVA - The Blind Alchemist Abridged - was not.
- Several cast members would leave the series throughout it's production, including p0rtalman, rachiiiness, Christopher Dowling, Freckles, Galener, and Stefan Wreath. No reason has ever been provided for these departures.
- The character of Elicia Hughes consistently had her name misspelt as Elysia Hughes.
- Similarly, Alex Louis Armstrong's name was changed to 'Alex Louise Armstrong' for unclear reasons.
