An abridged movie or OVA is a shortened, parody version of a standalone video, usually an animation. It is often divided into parts because of the longer run-time of movies and OVA's, sometimes called episodes.
It is not to be confused with an abridged series, which is a condensed parody version of a serial production.
This category includes:
- Complete abridgements of feature-length films (i.e. Abridgimon The Movie)
- Complete abridgements of short-lived OVA series (i.e. AbridgedRockShooter (OVA) , Devilman Abridged). When an OVA continues a story over several episodes then it counts as a proper series (i.e. Hellsing Ultimate Abridged).
