Bleach Abridged: Meet The Gotei 13 is an abridged series of the anime 'Bleach'. In contrast to most abridged series, this series does not follow the regular plot of the original anime, but rather focuses on each squad of the Gotei 13 and the relationships within those squads, portrayed in a satirical way.
Production[]
Originally the idea for the series sprouted when Alifluro thought of abridging certain battles within the Bleach anime series. After coming up with a few different possibilities, she decided on doing a series on the Gotei 13 instead, with each episode focusing on one squad. The series will hence be 13 episodes, with the squads running in no particular order.
The episodes mainly focus on the captains and lieutenants of each squad, but will also feature any other significant member of the squads, as well as cameos from characters related to said squad. The characters are mostly portrayed similar to the original series, however certain aspects of their personalities or personality traits are amplified or exaggerated.
The protagonist of the original anime series, Ichigo Kurosaki, will also make a cameo in every episode.
Episode 1 featured Squad 2: Soifon and Marechiyo Oameda, and was released in February 2013.
Episode 2 featured Squad 10: Toshiro Hitsugaya and Rangiku Matsumoto, and was released in May 2013.
Episode 3 featured Squad 11: Kenpachi Zaraki, Yachiru Kusajishi, Ikkaku Madarame, and Yumichika Ayasegawa, and was released in August 2013.
Episode 4 featured Squad 3: Gin Ichimaru and Izuru Kira, and was released in December 2013.
Episode 5 featured Squad 9: Kaname Tosen and Shuhei Hisagi, and was released in February 2014.

Trivia[]
- It has been suggested by a few people that Alifluro make a 'Meet The Espada' series also.
- The fight scene between Kenpachi and Nnoitra from episode 3 was originally meant to be longer, however, it had to be cut down for timing reasons.
- Hypersqurell is often praised for being better than the original VA of Toshiro Hitsugaya.
- The editing for the series improved dramatically from episode 3, after Alifluro learnt properly how to edit lip flaps.
- The series was originally going to be a one-off episode on squad 1, but after episode one's popularity, Alifluro decided to continue the series.
