Overview[]
Created by Project Mouthwash, this parody of Bleach is a spiritual continuation/reboot of the long dead Bleach Soma Abridged (originally by BlazingAzureCrow).
This series is written by Aaron Robert Parnell, Logan Laidlaw, and Cassandra Cavalli. It is edited by Logan Laidlaw (with additional help from Aaron Robert Parnell in later episodes).
The series is in the middle of its third season.

Production[]
The series opening is "Just Bleach" from the Bleach Beat Collection. Seasons 1 and 2 use the same music cut but different visuals(arranged in largely the same way).
As of Season 3, the series opening changed to "Hello Sleepwalkers - Hyakkiyakou"(the opening to the Bleach Brave Souls game). As of this point a Haiku is included in each episode's script, and it is repeated over a thank-you card to Patrons at the end.
Season 1's ending stinger is a beat from Bleach's "Number One" with a 3rd&Main logo in the corner. In season 2(continuing into Season 3) the ending stinger changed to an image of Ichigo's hollow mask in front of some mist with "ProjectMouthwash" written in front of it. Season 3 changes this slightly, changing the text under ProjectMouthwash to "Mouthwash Studios", altering the visuals and adding a different musical sting(as of episode 15).
Between seasons 1 and 2, several cast changes occurred as a result of actors being busy or pursuing various types of work. Roles left by actors were largely picked up by the existing leading cast.

Changes from the canon[]
- Ichigo tries talking to hollows over trying to kill them. He considers himself a non-union soul reaper and favors haikus.
- Rukia constantly thinks any strange activity is the work of hollows.
- Chad is slightly confused about spirits, believing Shrieker to be Malsumis, the Native American chaos god and that his powers come from defeating another of the "great spirits".
- Chad constantly suffers the "Worf effect" to prove how powerful enemies are. He finally gets what it means when Nnoitra proved immune to his punch.
- Orihime is aware they are all fictional and keeps pushing everyone to fulfill their parts in the story. It's obvious to everyone but Ichigo that she's in love with him.
- Uryū is a conspiracy lunatic who constantly believes America is responsible for everything, he tends to misidentify. Even his father thinks he's nuts.
- Kisuke is sociopathic, and somewhat lazier; he avoids helping more than he needs. In fact, all his "training" is tormenting people until they get stronger from constant near death; with the secondary hope that they just leave him alone when they've had enough.
- Yoruichi is a bit of a flirt, but implies she and Kisuke are involved. That doesn't stop her for trying to seduce Ichigo during the hot spring scene; he was actually into it.
- Renji tends to ramble and give dumb nicknames. He also becomes painfully aware he has no named opponents on his win record.
- Byakuya is more or less the same, but recites depressing poetry. Also, all his spells start with "Negative", literally.
- Yamamoto unknowingly points out the flaws in his descions, and has an obsession with burning things; he is implied to be senile. In the Christmas movie, he thinks the holiday is only possible due to an artifact; he is proven wrong when children still got presents.
- Aizen has used his zanpakutō to make everyone think he's Josh Grobin. He admits to being utterly bored and messing with everyone to pass the time.
- Tōsen is mumbles; though this is a prank on Aizen's part via his zanpakutō. He also has less awareness of his surroundings; having mistaken the monitoring room for the bathroom for weeks.
- Rangiku has a deep male voice.
- Tōshirō hates society and ridiculous regulations. Ironically, the right attitude to have towards Central 46.
- Soi-Fon has a crush on Yoruichi. It's ambiguous in the canon.
- Sajin mostly speaks in barks.
- Shunsui is still a laidback drunk, but has moments of confusion; meaning his brain cells are dying from the excessive alcohol.
- Gin's zanpakutō command is "get rekt"
- Kenpachi has "Ready to Die" play when he fights. He tends to state the obvious.
- Mayuri is actually much more friendly, but still a crazy scientist; he wants to say kind things, but his brain won't cooperate.
- Jūshirō frequently coughs in important conversations, even hinting about the entity keeping him alive despite his illness.
- Every time Hollow Zangetsu tries revealing he's the real zanpakutō spirit, Quincy Zangetsu keeps interrupting him and covering up the truth as it is "too early".
- Yammy gets words and their meanings mixed up. Though he is less stupid than the original version; Yammy is just bad at knowing which words are right.
- Ulquiorra is passive and polite; should a request be asked of him, he doesn't turn it down. He also assures Orihime that Stark, Harribel and himself are the nicest of the Arrancars.
- Nnoitra is about the same; he's just less eloquent in his speech to the point it seems like he's rambling.
- Grimmjow's name is pronounced "grim jaw".
- Luppi is female.
- Grimmjow has Luppi healed a few times by Orihime after initially killing him. Bleach opening 6 plays over the moment.
- Chad protests to splitting up in Las Noches.
- Dordoni calls Ichigo "Mr. Carrot" in Spanish instead of ninõ.
- Pesche and Cirruci dated before
- Chad points out no-one told him about Arrancar ressurecions when Gantenbainne calls him out on "forgetting". True to the original, as Chad only faced Yammy and D-Roy, who never transformed.
- The running gag with Keigo popping up during Chad's fights is played as him being an agent of Gluska the god of love and kindness, sharing good vibes with Chad to empower him.
- Rukia gets a LOT more mind screwed in her fight against the fake Kaien.
- Renji compares Szayel to Myuri fast; comparing it to Batman-ing enemies.
- Szayelapporo makes several good points while roasting Renji for his stupidity. Such as questioning the logic of how souls can have babies; where DOES the soul come from? (One fan theory is this causes stillborn in the World of the Living)
- Ichigo actually intrudes in Ulquiorra's foyer when they meet; which makes sense given everyone else kept arriiving in espada or privaron espada dwellings. He apologizes for the intrusion, sincerely, before beginning an assault.
